• June is National Great Outdoors Month – National Great Outdoors Month highlights the incredible opportunities for exploration in nature. Whether we are hiking or biking on trails, kayaking or canoeing in rivers and canyons, or camping in the forest or on a hillside, this month serves as a perfect reminder to focus on enjoying some outdoor experiences.

• Are you ready for 90 days of summer fun? We hope you've got your calendars out: The first day of summer in North America is Wednesday, June 20th. It also happens to be the longest day of the year! In the Northern Hemisphere, the June solstice (aka summer solstice) occurs when the Sun travels along its northernmost path in the sky.

• "Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads out there! Your unwavering love, guidance, and support shape our lives in ways we can’t always express, this Father’s Day, we celebrate you and all that you do!"

• 🎓 June brings graduation season, a time of celebration and new beginnings! Congratulations to all the graduates out there!

Here are some interesting facts about me:

• I was born and raised in Torrance, California.

• I graduated from Torrance High School.

• I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Cal State Northridge.

• I have been happily married to my sweetheart, Gayle, for over 41 years.

• Our family is blessed with 6 children, their spouses,8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

• During my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, gardening, and spending quality time with my family.

• I have served as the Director and Past Chair of the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce, now known as the West Ventura County Business Alliance.

• I have also been a Director and Past Chair of Goodwill Industries for Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties.

• Member of Peace Lutheran Church in Camarillo.

• I have been actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a previous Scoutmaster and Cubmaster.

• I have also managed and coached youth sports teams.
